The Cotiella massif is a calcareous mountain rising to almost 3,000 meters that divides the valleys of the Cinca and the Esera rivers. Located south of the Pyrenees divide, It’s an isolated, imposing and magical place.

We land in Peña las Diez, from where we can enjoy wonderful views of the Peña Montañesa and the plains to the south. To the north the majestic Central Pyrenees, from Monte Perdido to the Posets and of course, Aneto peak.

After taking in this incredible location at 2,600 meters, we begin the descent towards the Colladeta del Ibón, enjoying gorgeous rocky limestone walls on all sides. As we reach the trees, we’ve arrived in Ibon de Plan lake, also called Basa de la Mora, a magical place with a legend that ony those with a pure heart will see the Moorish princess on the night of San Juan.

Having enjoyed a stop at this alpine lake, we continue the descent always through the forest, fast and flowing tracks leading us to the beautifull little town of Saravillo.
