Punta suelza

Altitude Helibike & Ski

Punta Suelza (Suelsa in the local language), with its 2,978 meters of altitude, is probably the best alpine descent route in the Central Pyrenees.

Located between the Bielsa and Chistau valleys, this humongous pyramid-shaped mass of limestone offers an unbeatable lookout facing the impressive Pineta valley and the Monte Perdido massif.
Starting at the peak, you’ll be facing a descent of 2,000 meters before you reach the town of Bielsa, and you’ll face all kinds of riding scenarios that’ll make you want the route to go on forever. You’ll find rocky, exposed high mountain areas with incredible views over the Barleto lakes, groovy and fast-paced high mountain pastures, and of course, centuries-old fir and pine forests… A five-star descent totaling almost 10 km that will have you arrive in Bielsa with a giant smile on your face, craving a well-deserved beer!
